Altio AI is an open source Android project for shared on-device AI inference. These terms describe the public website and the current product expectations.
Work in progress
Altio is actively being developed. Runtime behavior, model support, scheduling, APIs, and client integration details may change.
Local-first service
Altio is designed to run a local Android background service that exposes private localhost HTTP and Server-Sent Events endpoints to authorized apps on the same device.
No warranty
The software is provided as a work-in-progress developer project. Use it at your own risk, especially when testing large local models, experimental inference runtimes, or sensitive data flows.
Licensing
Altio is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later. See the repository LICENSE and LICENSING.md files for details, including plain-language licensing notes and commercial licensing options.
Contributions
Contributions are welcome through the public repository. Contributors are expected to follow the project contribution process and sign the Contributor License Agreement described in CLA.md.
